Sing a Song
Go to the Alphabet Video page and play a few of the songs for your child. As you both sing along, see if your child can identify the letter of the week in the song. What is the letter's name? What sound does it make? What words start with that sound? |
Be a Letter Detective
Help your child become a letter detective. Can he or she find the letter of the week on cereal boxes, cans, clothing, or other common objects? Can he or she find the letter in stories as you are reading together in English? See if your child can find the letter of the week in everyday life and name the letter. |
Write the Letter
Practice writing the capital (mayúscula) and lower case (minúscula) letter of the week. Do this using different writing utensils. Have your child write with a pencil and trace over the letter with multiple crayons. He or she could also use markers, colored pencils, chalk, or a white board!
