Writing Numbers and Letters at Home
Practicing these skills at home can be fun! Your child can practice writing letters and numbers with crayons, markers, pencils, pens, chalk, white board markers, and more. You could also spread shaving cream over a flat surface and have your child write letters and numbers in the shaving cream with a straw or another object similar in size and shape to a pencil.
Please note that number and letter reversals are very common in kindergarten and though we will work hard to avoid them, you should not be worried when you see your child making reversals. Simply ask your child to try the letter or number again so he or she can correct the mistake.
